Mondays:

[ This class is on break ] 6:30PM to 8:15pm Sebastopol CA: Kim teaches begining/intermediate Djembe class at a private home 10 minutes from town.

The class is adapted to the needs of the students. Please read the course outline. Cost is $150 for six classes. Please call or email me for more information. 707 823 8885

I have posted new pictures and charts of the hand positions and vocal sounds for djembe here. These vocal sounds are from the late Babatunde Olatunji, for the purpose of remembering and passing on hand drum rhythms. Thank you Baba!

4:30am to 5:15pm, Ives Park, Sebastopol CA: Kim teaches drumming to young people ages 9 - 13 in small groups. If you are interested please contact me 707.823.8885 to register.

7:30 to 9:00 pm, Sebastopol CA Plaza, Brazilian Percussion: A performing group class for Teens and Adults. We learn instruments of the Brazilian Bateria ( parade orchestra): bass drums, bells, shakers, stick drums, snare drums, scratchers and more. We play rhythms from around the world plus my own compositions and arrangements. Hear the music. Class is conducted in a circle, while standing and moving to an easy step to keep time. 12:00 to 3:00 pm: Private Lessons on drumset, framedrum, dumbec, conga, djembe, shekere, or any other instrument in my collection, in your home.

Thursdays:
